Welcome to Onyx Dragon Productions! We are a small independent production company based in Missouri. Things are really starting to take off for us. Our works include, but are not limited to: short films, full-length films, sketches, music videos, television shows, and occasional event videography.

Here is a link to our most recent video. This was a concert collaboration between the community of Rolla, Missouri and +Missouri University of Science and Technology. We, Onyx Dragon, condensed the production (1 camera) and donated half of our expenses to the concert. The video has performances from community choirs, kid choirs, campus choir and symphony, a great performance by a local band called 'Why?', and more.
You can view or download it on Google Docs here.

On July 10, 2011 the hills of Missouri came alive with the sounds of music. Cue Julie Andrews to twirl now, and bring the helicopter in closer... closer... oh, wait, too close! BACK OFF, BACK OFF!
Where was I?
The Basement Tapes Show on KKID 92.9 FM celebrated their 1-year birthday in style. And how? How else would a show showcasing independent music, but to invite all of their past guests to come on air at once and take part in an awesome jam session. THAT'S HOW.
I attended, as an observer, and camera operator. I filmed all of the studio performances, there were more performances taking place outside in the parking lot. It was a night of great music by great Missouri artists.
You can check out performances in the Music channel, and I'll be uploading many more as I get them cut and uploaded.
Enjoy the music!

So I found out about this music video contest, which involved making a music video for one of three Moby songs using the theme "Hello, Future." And then I thought that sounded fun, but had little time to pull it off.
Well, we did.
We secured actors, schedules, and locations in a few days and filmed on a Monday. Then we had the finished product submitted by Thursday. It was hard trying to meet the deadline, but we got it done and we're pretty satisfied with the outcome.

This is some really exciting news...
YouTube has given our channel the right to upload full-length videos. Why?! Because we're awesome. Okay, okay, it's because we conform to the community guidelines and respect copyrights. And we're not the only channels out there getting this awesome privilage bestowed upon them, so login to your account and check by clicking "Upload". If you now have the right to upload full-length videos, there will be a blue information box that tells you such at the top of the page. If not, you suck, I guess.
And here is the first abusing of YouTube's niceness... we uploaded Going Nowhere's series finale. The entire last episode is completely improvised, and has an awesome prank on Tracie in the last ten minutes.
Can ya dig it?

And as Thanksgiving approaches, we'd like to share our Two Hosts and a Model: Thanksgiving Special! It was a blast to film, and it's good, clean fun too.

We've gotten really lax on keeping up with things around these parts, but this soon shall change. One way it's going to change is we're actually going to put updates on what in the world is going on in the Onyx Dragon world, and secondly, there is actually going to be something going on in the Onyx Dragon world.
Some worthy news:
And in general, we'll try to keep the awkward moments down to a minimal... but no guarantees.
And speaking of awkward, below is one of the sketches we shot and chopped for SIDEKICK Sketch Comedy.
